PALEO BLUEBERRY VANILLA PEACH WAFFLES

Sunday funday breakfast! The one thing I look forward to every sunday morning 🙂 I usually enjoy having a healthy treat for breakfast, but it wouldn’t be the best idea to have it every morning, which is why I save it for sundays. Although all the treats I post are 100% clean and healthy, you can still gain weight/body fat if you eat them every single day (for example, eating protein pancakes every day). The only exception would be for those (particularly men) who are trying to gain muscle mass, which means they can get away with eating these treats regularly than others who are trying to maintain weight, or lose body fat, because they contain a good amount of protein and healthy fats 🙂 Enjoy in moderation.

Recipe: serves 3

1 1/4 cup almond flour
1/2 tsp gluten/aluminum free baking soda
A dash of sea salt
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1 organic stevia sachet
1/4 cup organic hemp milk
2 organic cage free eggs
1 tbsp organic pure vanilla extract
1 organic peach and a handful of blueberries
1 tbsp organic pure maple syrup for topping
Unsweetened organic coconut flakes (optional)

Pre heat your waffle maker.

Combine dry ingredients: almond flour, baking soda, sea salt, cinnamon, and stevia in a bowl.

Combine wet ingredients: hemp milk, eggs, and vanilla extract in a separate bowl.

Mix wet ingredients into dry ingredients and mix until smooth batter forms (mixture wouldn’t be too thick).

Place batter in waffle iron and let it cook (follow waffle iron instructions).

When ready, top with peaches and blueberries, coconut flakes, and a nice drizzle of pure maple syrup.
