Holy crap, that is genius! I don’t think I’ve ever had Stevia, is the Stevia sachet vanilla flavored or do you add vanilla extract? Also, do you know if places like Starbucks or Blenz Coffee make their “low fat” coffees with Stevia or is it another sugarfree sweetener? (I always thought it tasted really chemically and basically I’m trying to ask if Stevia also tastes chemically. My taste buds are sensitive.)

Thank you Rebecca! And I did add vanilla extract (just modified it, thanks for pointing that out). I am not entirely familiar with the menu at Starbucks but I have heard that the sugar free sweetener they use in their skinny lattes is Splenda, which is a slight grey area for me because Splenda is made from sucrose, which is an artificial sweetener used to sweeten sugar free drinks like diet coke/pepsi. However, stevia is a natural sweetener made from the stevia plant, and also has zero calories just like Splenda. If you have sensitive tastebuds, I would suggest that you gradually ween yourself to the stevia taste, or you can opt for moderate quantities of other natural sweeteners like raw honey or coconut palm sugar. Hope this helps!

Alright, you’ve inspire me, haha. I think I just might go and buy a small packet of Stevia and gradually add more and more to my baked goods! Yeah, I think you’re right, and it was Splenda. It might just be me, but the artificial flavor sticks out like a sore thumb. A natural sweetener sounds awesome, though. Thank you!
