About Me

Ciao! I’m Valerie Azinge β€” best-selling cookbook author, certified wine expert, filmmaker, TV food personality, and the founder of My Digital Kitchen, where food, wine, and culture meet storytelling. I’m a woman of many hats… or berets, as you can probably tell πŸ˜‰

I’ve always believed that food is more than something we eat. It’s a gateway to culture, connection, and creativity. Whether I’m developing recipes, curating wine pairings, or filming on location in Europe, everything I do is rooted in a deep love for storytelling that brings people to the table.

Over the years, my journey has taken me from the pages of a national bestselling cookbook to the screens of national television, where I regularly appear as a food and wine expert. I’ve partnered with airlines and tourism boards to spotlight culinary destinations, and built a platform that inspires curious, flavor-loving audiences around the world.

Just when I thought I was getting my life together, things took a drastic turn when I got into a motorcycle accident in 2018. In the blink of an eye, everything changed. I went from standing on my feet in the kitchen whipping up delicious meals to being seriously injured, bedridden for months, and learning how to walk again. The journey to recovery was and still is β€” long, strenuous, and ongoing; but I’m a fighter. I’ve chosen to use this second chance to fulfill my purpose and inspire others to pursue their goals, no matter what life throws at them.

Since then, my path has led me to some incredible milestones. I’ve appeared regularly on national television, published a national bestselling cookbook, been recognized by notable celebrity chefs like Gordon Ramsay, and partnered with airlines and tourism boards to spotlight culinary destinations across the globe. I’ve built a growing platform that reaches an engaged audience of food and wine lovers who are as curious and passionate as I am.

My debut documentary, Chianti, A Wine Story aired on Prime Video UK and laid the foundation for my latest project, From Vine to Table: a three-part documentary series filmed on location in Europe. Currently in post-production, this series explores the rich intersection of tradition, terroir, and taste. I’m open to strategic partnerships and distribution opportunities to bring this project to a global audience. Alongside my creative work, I also hold a Bachelor’s degree from York University and a WSET Level 2 wine certification with distinction β€” credentials that support my passion for thoughtful and globally minded storytelling.

Whether it’s a film, a recipe, a wine pairing, or a television segment, I’m all about creating experiences that are warm, authentic, and rooted in discovery.

I’m here to keep sharing stories that nourish, connect, and remind us that it’s never too late to start again, because if my journey has taught me anything, it’s that resilience and passion can open doors you never imagined. Life may not always follow the recipe, but with heart, courage, a full belly, and a good glass of wine, anything is possible. Thanks for stopping by!

Hi Valerie. Seen you this morning on the local morning show. I’m in need of good low carb recipes but need to know the carb count per serving. I didn’t find any carb per serving info listed for each recipe. Do you have this info you can share for those of us who need it? Thanks.

    1. Valerie Azinge says:

Thank you for watching Rick!! You can find over 75 low carb recipes in my cookbook via the link below. All recipes in the cookbook contain 10-12g of carbs or less!

  14. Rick says:

Thanks Valerie. I assume that’s 10-12g carbs per serving. This is great info. I bought the book and will be trying a few recipes this week or next. Thanks for this. You rock GIRL!!!

    1. Valerie Azinge says:

Per serving indeed! Thank you so much for your support. I hope you enjoy the book!! Xo
